What personal data we collect and why we collect it

In general, you must provide a valid email address to obtain basic information on this website. Your email address is kept in a database that is used to email you with information about webinars and other products we offer. We do not sell or transfer your email list for any reason to any person. You may opt out of any email you receive from us at any time for any reason.

If you purchase a product, you may be required to register as a member. You will provide your first and last name, mailing address, mobile telephone number and your email address. Again, this information is not sold or given to any third party at any time for any reason. You can un-register at any time for any reason.

If you purchase anything by credit card, your credit card information is encrypted and sent to a 3rd party processor, either PayPal or Stripe. No credit card information is stored on this website.

In addition, our web server automatically logs certain information such as the name of your internet service provider, the IP address of the computer you are using, the type of browser software and operating system that you use, the date and time you access our website, the website address, if any, from which you linked directly to our website, the website address, if any, to which you travel from our website, and other similar traffic-related information. We may also aggregate information relating to your and other visitors’ traffic patterns. We use the information to help us improve the website and the services that we provide through the website. We do not use such data in any way to create or maintain a personal profile of you or collect personal information from you.

If you are using a “Do Not Track” signal, we will honor that signal to the extent that our hosting service does so. We do not intentionally collect information in derogation of a “Do Not Track” request. However, we cannot control our hosting service and cannot verify that it is honoring your “Do Not Track” request.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

Generally, we will not disclose information we collect through your use of the website to third parties. We reserve the right, however, to provide such information to our employees, contractors, agents, and designees to the extent necessary to enable them to perform certain website-related services (e.g., web hosting or maintenance services) on our behalf. We also reserve the right to disclose such information to any third party if we believe that we are required to do so for any or all of the following reasons: (i) by law; (ii) to comply with legal processes or governmental requests; (iii) to prevent, investigate, detect or prosecute criminal offences or attacks on the technical integrity of the web site or our network; and/or (iv) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Healthy Body Products, the users of the website, or the public.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
